A formal introduction!
Hello Community,
I wanted to take a moment to share some really exciting news with all of you and introduce myself: I am the *NEW* owner of Itsy Bitsy Zone, an indoor playspace located in Salisbury, MA!
My name is Jacqui, and I am a local mom to two children, now 9 and 6. For many years, this playspace was a fixture in our family life. We spent countless mornings here when the kids were little; it was a spot where they could explore, and where I could meet and connect with other local parents. Itsy Bitsy Zone has always held a very special, heartfelt place in our story, as I know it has for so many of you as well.
Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I was a Montessori teacher, and most recently I have been a local substitute teacher and active parent volunteer in my children’s schools. My entire professional life has been dedicated to child development and understanding the importance of learning through meaningful activities and play. While I knew I didn't want to return to full-time classroom teaching, I really wanted to use my experience, skills, and education background in a meaningful way. When the chance to take over Itsy Bitsy Zone arose,at the absolute best time, it felt like the perfect fit—a way to combine my professional passion with my personal community.
I am genuinely looking forward to bringing my perspective and personal touches to this refreshed space. We are a children's indoor playspace that hosts open play, events, birthday parties and soon to be a variety of enriching classes (music, spanish, pre-school prep,etc.) for young children, and I look forward to ensuring everything we offer gives children meaningful and purposeful opportunities to learn while they play and explore the space. It is extremely important to me that I create opportunities for our grown-ups to feel a sense of belonging and support in their caregiving journey, in a welcoming and carefully prepared space. As someone who was both a nanny and also a stay-at-home parent for many years, I understand how much a space like this means to our community. I hope Itsy Bitsy Zone can be a space that brings YOU and your children joy, connection, growth and relief!
